When creating eye-catching display items and business signage acrylic is hard to beat for its versatility. It is easy to cut to shape and engrave and safer (and lighter) than glass and comes in a huge variety of colours and finishes.
Clear acrylic is perfect for creating stand-out illuminated items such as awards, business signs and our vert own illuminated contactless lanyard tags. When edge-lit the engraving on the acrylic plate diffuses the light creating text and designs that appear to hang in the air. This allows us to create signs that complement the space you put them in from smaller reception desk welcome signs to larger call-to-action type signs for bars or window displays. Signs can be a combination of UV printing and engraving with edge or back lighting for internal or external use.
We’ve developed our own two-colour lighting system to enhance the type of signs we can offer to include signs created for two engraved plates, each being illuminated with its own colour from a choice of eight different ones. This can create a fantastic neon-style effect while still retaining the precision and detail of print-resolution engraving that acrylic allows.
Taking the illuminated concept further – and smaller – we’ve also designed a lanyard illumination grip which allows for a business card sized crylic plate to be suspended on a lanyard chain, powered by button cells contained in the grip. The result is a business tag which illuminates with your design, lasting all day. We also include an NFC chip in the bottom of the acrylic plate which can be programmed via smartphone with the URL of your choice which you can share with others contactlessly with a tap to modern NFC-enabled smartphones.
